Louis Walsh is back on The X Factor UK after completing a dare set by boss Simon Cowell.
But just what did Louis have to do to get a spot on this year's panel?
Apparently, dance with leprechauns.
In a completely believable story, the Daily Star newspaper claims that Simon dared Louis to get up on stage as part of an act in new X Factor music I Can't Sing in previews last week.
And Irish music mogul Louis did exactly that, joining his musical self at the London Palladium for a "jig" with a group of dancing leprechauns in order to get on The X Factor.
We would say you couldn't make it up but to be honest someone probably did.
A source claimed: "He [Louis] certainly is game for a laugh. The audience gave him a standing ovation.”
The source added tot he tabloid this morning: “Simon lost the wager and he clearly felt that anyone who’s brave enough to do that deserves their seat back on the X Factor judging panel.”
But despite the tall tale, X Factor bosses have yet to confirm Louis Walsh's return officially.
As of writing only Simon and Cheryl Cole have been announced for the new series, which will begin filming in the summer.
