Louis Walsh "isn't bothered" that Cheryl Cole is against his return to The X Factor UK this year.
It was said earlier this week after Cheryl confirmed her own comeback that she and X Factor boss Simon Cowell were already bickering over Louis.
However Simon has got his way - being the boss and all - and Louis will be staying put on the panel.
“The deal with Louis is done – he will be back,” a source said yesterday. “Simon assured him over dinner that he wanted him back on the show and Louis will sign his deal in the coming days.
“Cheryl might not want him but that’s exactly why Simon does, he knows it will create fireworks.”
Now according to The Sun newspaper, Louis is keen to put his own views across as to who should join the panel.
“Louis is tight with Simon and isn’t bothered about what Cheryl’s been saying," an insider claimed. “[Louis] will be back.
“And he wants Sharon Osbourne at his side.”
Despite announcing she had quit the show last year Sharon has since become the favourite to be revealed as this year's fourth judge.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “After costing £1.5 million it’s safe to say that Cheryl’s pulling the strings when it comes to the fourth judge, and with that in mind, the odds indicate that 61-year-old Sharon will be back on the panel.”
Olly Murs and Rita Ora share currently odds of 3/1, it’s a 4/1 shot that Dannii Minogue completes the retro line-up, or there’s 5/1 on offer that Robbie Williams replaces Gary Barlow as the new member of Take That to be a judge.
