X Factor winner Sam Bailey has clashed with Simon Cowell.
It comes after Simon pretty much said Sam's career wasn't going to be great.
In an interview with the Metro newspaper, Simon - who this week confirmed Cheryl Cole would be back on the panel alongside him - said: “[Is Sam] going to be as good as the final year [Cheryl and I] did? No.”
But Sam hit back at Simon's comments and branded the X Factor boss "shallow".
“There’s so many singers I’ve watched previously on the show that have had the most amazing voices but they’ve been classed as too cruise ship or too clubby," Sam claimed.
Sam, who will release her debut album this month just in time for Mother's Day, added: “I think they need to look a little bit further and it needs to be less shallow and they might be all right.”
Meanwhile Simon's critiques of recent winners continue as he went on to give the team managing James Arthur some feedback.
“I think James, unfortunately, has had so many issues with what he has done publicly – which is a real issue with me," Simon said. "Somebody should have told him to shut up and just put the records out.”
