Louis Walsh WILL return to The X Factor UK this year despite Cheryl Cole wanting him gone.
It was claimed yesterday that Cheryl and X Factor boss Simon Cowell - so far the only confirmed names for The X Factor 2014 - were at war over Louis.
But it seems that the Irish music mogul won't be going anywhere this year and will keep his spot at the end of the panel for what will be an eleventh series.
"The deal with Louis is done – he will be back," a source said today. “Simon assured him over dinner that he wanted him back on the show and Louis will sign his deal in the coming days.
“Cheryl might not want him but that’s exactly why Simon does, he knows it will create fireworks.”
Cheryl said previously this week she wanted a "strong woman" beside her on the show, hitting back at reports claiming she wanted to be the only female judge.
“There are people I’d love to join the panel. Definitely a strong woman,” the 3 Words singer insisted. “I’m kind of hoping I don’t have to deal with three guys because otherwise I’ll have no hair — I’ll be pulling it out all the time!”
Meanwhile Simon Cowell is also planning a comeback for former X Factor regular Sinitta.
He said: “Sinitta will have a role on the show. She has always done a good job, she is passionate about working with talent.”
The X Factor 2014 auditions begin with the open try outs next month before moving onto the judges' auditions in the summer.
The X Factor will air on ITV in the autumn.
