Cheryl Cole is back on The X Factor but is it the right move? Here's our obligatory poll on the matter!
It was confirmed last night that Cheryl Cole would be back on The X Factor this year after originally quitting in 2011 to join the US panel.
X Factor boss Simon Cowell tweeted: “It’s official. Cheryl is back. Be careful what you wish for! Most importantly she is a brilliant judge of talent.”
And Cheryl posted a picture of herself and Simon on her official Instagram page with the caption: “GUESS WHAT!!.. I’m baaaacccckkkkk!!!! #iMayActuallyRingHisNeck“
ITV are over the moon that Cheryl's back saying in a statement today: "We're thrilled to be announcing Cheryl's return to The X Factor panel - she was an extremely popular judge who struck a real chord with our viewers, and we're looking forward to welcoming her back on screen this autumn."
But will Chezza's return boost ratings and return the series to its heyday or should producers have ditched her in favour of some new, fresh faces?
Cheryl's return has already sparked a tabloid frenzy with Simon admitting the Geordie singer's huge fanbase was one of the reasons he wanted her back.
However not every one is happy with many of the Girls Aloud star's fans thinking it's the wrong decision to go back to the show.
