Cheryl Cole will be returning to The X Factor UK for £1.5 million.
It was confirmed last night that Cheryl Cole would be back on The X Factor this year after originally quitting in 2011 to join the US panel.
X Factor boss Simon Cowell tweeted: “It’s official. Cheryl is back. Be careful what you wish for! Most importantly she is a brilliant judge of talent.”
Meanwhile, Cheryl posted a picture of herself and Simon on her official Instagram page with the caption: “GUESS WHAT!!.. I’m baaaacccckkkkk!!!! #iMayActuallyRingHisNeck“
Now it's been revealed that Cheryl signed a deal with producers over the weekend for a reported £1.5 million fee.
"Simon is absolutely delighted to have her back on the judging panel," a source said today. “Over the last 18 months, Cheryl and Simon have got back in touch and slowly repaired their relationship.
“And in January they had dinner with Peter Fincham at Simon’s London house."
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper today, the insider explained: “There has been to-ing and fro-ing but the deal was finally done in the last 48 hours.
“It’s all very last minute but now there’s due to be an announcement, It’s really exciting.”
They added: "Simon is delighted that she is back. With him and her on the panel it’s a dream ticket.”
Meanwhile The Sun claims that Cheryl has only agreed to a one-year deal similar to Sharon Osborune last year.
A supposed pal of the Girls Aloud singer told the tabloid: “She’s very excited but doesn’t want X Factor to completely take over her life again. Her new album is virtually finished and she has a great new single she’ll release this summer.”
The X Factor 2014 will begin filming in the summer and return to screens on ITV in the autumn.
