If there's one thing you can say about James Arthur it's that he doesn't hold back.
The X Factor champ won't let his hands be tied by PR people although often not for the better.
In his latest outburst James blasted former X Factor winners for being "puppets".
In an interview in Poland, James explained: "For me, watching The X Factor over the years, they just haven't got it right. The male winners that they've had, haven't been that believable. They look like puppets, they sound like puppets."
James went on to admit that his first album had a lot of "filler" and he was looking forward to forgetting it ever happened.
He told a Polish TV channel: "I'm really just looking forward to my next record because although I thank my first album for what it's done for me, I feel a little bit detached from it now because it felt like there were so many influences on it. I'd rather just be left alone to make my art and make my music."
However the social media expert confessed he's not sure how much of his own say he'll get with his new album either.
“I have people telling me what I can and can’t do, what music I can and can’t make. People who aren’t artists don’t think about creativity and art, they think about money," he claimed. “When you find fame or you get signed to a record label, it’s not what you imagined – because you imagined they would have 100 per cent trust or faith in you as an artist.
"Unfortunately, that’s not really the case – it’s what sells.”
