X Factor winner Sam Bailey is set to go on her own solo tour.
The reigning champ is all set to release her debut album next month and has already announced tour dates for next year, including one at the Hammersmith Apollo.
“I’m very looking forward to it. It’s a 15-date tour but there should be some more dates added in if it sells," Sam said. "I’m really excited as I get to do what I want. I’m going to have a full band and it’s gong to be amazing."
The mum-of-two is currently busy on the X Factor tour, performing at Newcastle and Manchester this week.
“The tour is going really well," she told the Chronicle Live newspaper. “I’m getting used to it now. It was a bit of an eye opener at the start. This is completely different as the pressure is off, everyone is having fun, so this is the start of the career now.
“We did social clubs in the North East many years ago That’s your bread and butter work, but I’ve never done anything this big. I just never made it, never had that opportunity come my way. The X Factor is a great stepping stone for anybody who wants to get noticed in the business as they don’t come to you, you have got to come to them."
And if that wasn't enough singing, Sam last night shared the stage with Beyonce as she warmed up the crowd in Birmingham as a support act for the global superstar.
"Her show was absolutely amazing. They’re there to watch Beyonce and I was a bit worried that they wouldn’t turn up for me, but I was really surprised that as soon as they played the first song, Skyscraper, the whole place just erupted," Sam revealed. "I gained a few fans, so it was really nice.”
