Lionel Richie has become the the latest name linked to The X Factor 2014 panel.
The All Night Long hitmaker is reportedly in talks over a role on this year's series alongside Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh.
It follows claims that Cheryl will be the only girl on The X Factor this year after demanding there are no other females on the judging line up.
With the likes of Rita Ora ruled out it seems that X Factor boss Simon is having to look around for potential judges.
Although former X Factor finalist Olly Murs is still the favourite to be confirmed as a judge this year.
"Olly is practically a surefire bet," a source said today. “But Simon could also surprise everyone by signing up legend Lionel.
“They’re pals and last year’s contestants even moved into the crooner’s old house for the duration of the show."
However the insider pointed out the obvious: "Although a few people on the show reckon having Simon, Louis and Lionel together would make the show a bit old-fashioned.”
Other names linked to this year's panel include Robbie Williams, who is a 16/1 bet, and Westlife's Kian Egan, who has been given odds of 20/1.
James Corden is fancied at 40/1 by Paddy Power while N-Dubz star Dappy is very much an outsider at 200/1.
