Cheryl Cole has apparently been given a £2 million offer to rejoin The X Factor 2014.
The Girls Aloud star has been repeatedly linked to the show and X Factor boss Simon reckons a big pay deal can persuade her to finally sign on the dotted line.
According to heat magazine, the music mogul has offered the 'Fight For This Love' hitmaker an 'unlimited' budget for her live show fashion as well as access to her private jet.
A source told the publication this week: "She wants to perform her new material on 'The X Factor' and she knows it's the best way to get her music heard
"Simon feels like The X Factor needs to turn a page, forget how bad it was last year and boost ratings again - he thinks he and Cheryl can do that."
But Simon previously insisted it wasn't "about the money" with the singer, who is set to release her first album in two years come autumn.
"To be fair to Cheryl, it hasn’t been about the money with her," Simon said at Britain’s Got Talent 2014 auditions last week. "It’s about whether she wants to do it and whether she can handle the pressure, so I’m not quite sure yet [if she will come back]."
It was reported this week that Cheryl was "torn" over a return to the series.
Sources told Star magazine that Cheryl was split over whether or not she wanted to make a comeback.
“She’s back in the studio at the moment and will have a new album out at the end of the year, so The X Factor would give her a great platform to promote it,” the insider explained. “And she would love to prove Simon and the industry that she’s still got it.
“But, at the same time, Cheryl doesn’t want to be humiliated again and she knows what a circus The X Factor can be.”
The X Factor 2014 will begin filming its auditions in June before hitting screens at the end of the year.
