X Factor boss Simon Cowell is reportedly on his way back to the UK show following yet more bad ratings.
The Daily Star newspaper reports that Simon is "fuming" over the show's viewing figures after the final at the weekend.
Sam Bailey won the series on Sunday night, but it was the least watched final of the ITV show in nearly a decade.
On average, Strictly's pre-recorded results beat ITV, albeit by only 100,000 viewers.
However when you consider that The X Factor had hired out Wembley Arena and bought in One Direction, Katy Perry and even Elton John to perform, you'd think they'd have expected a few more viewers than that.
Both Gary Barlow and Sharon Osbourne have stuck by their previous announcements that they will be leaving the panel, meaning at least two judges for next year's eleventh series.
And according to Louis Walsh - who insisted he won't be quitting - Simon is sure to be one of them.
“I think it will be good when Simon comes back next year because he always makes everyone work harder," Louis said last week. “He wants more, more, more.
"He wants more viewers, he wants a bigger production, he wants more talent. It’s exciting.”
Louis claimed he was "70% certain" that Simon would be returning to the panel, following an equally disappointing season for the X Factor USA.
Simon himself said previously he would be returning "at some point", and hinted that Cheryl Cole could be joining him.
“I will [come back] at some point. I still miss that, I mean that show is my baby and that last year we did, which was the One Direction year, was the most fun I’ve had – it was fantastic,"the music mogul said. “When I look back at the clips now and remind myself about it, it was a really cool year.”
On rumours of a possible return for Girls Aloud’s Cheryl, Simon added: “Cheryl and I patched up our differences a long time ago.
“I saw her recently, we speak a lot on the phone and text each other, and I think both of us would like the idea of working together again.”
A spokesperson for The X Factor said that no decisions about the new series had been made.
