X Factor Uk winner Sam Bailey has shot to Number One on iTunes in less than 24 hours.
The singer released her winner's song Skyscraper after winning last night's show and it's well on its way to Christmas Number one.
Originally a hit for Demi Lovato in 2011 when it spent 17 weeks in the Billboard Hot 100, Sam's incredible interpretation is available to download now from all major platforms, with the physical CD single being rush released and in shops on Wednesday 18th December.
The physical edition will be backed by recordings of three of Sam’s finest X Factor performances – namely The Power Of Love, Make You Feel My Love and No More Tears.
Mentored by Sharon Osborne on her triumphant return to the series, mother-of-two Sam has produced show stopping performances week after week. From her first audition when she sang Beyonce's Listen, viewers and Judges alike have been astounded by the quality and power of Sam's voice.
Sam said last night: "I'm still in shock but all my dreams have come true tonight. I'm overwhelmed by all the support I've received and wish I could thank everyone individually for making this such a special moment for me. I love my single and with the proceeds from it going to such great causes, I really couldn't be happier."
Sharon Osbourne added: “I always knew Sam could be our winner and I'm so proud. She represents what The X Factor is all about. Skyscraper is such a powerful song and to quote my good friend Lou Lou she has completely made it her own."
Bookies have now made Sam the 1/4 favourite to triumph in the face for Christmas Number One.
“Sam has been red hot favourite to win the X-Factor for the last five or six weeks. She was the hottest favourite going into a final since Leona and the result was never really in question,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “She now looks set to beat all of her rivals in the race for the Christmas number one.”
