Nicholas McDonald tipped for third place in tonight's XFactor 2013 results

Nicholas McDonald (X Factor 2013)

TellyMix readers are tipping Nicholas McDonald to leave in third place in tonight's X Factor 2013 results.

Thousands of you have voted in our poll casting your opinion on which of the final three you want to win.

Sam Bailey is a clear favourite, having received just under 50% of all votes.

Despite being in the bottom two three times so far, Luke Friend is a clear second favourite, even gaining on Sam compared to last week's poll.

The results match that of a poll conducted by YouGov, which last year correctly predicted the outcome of the final three.

With the bookies and there's a clear winner too, with Sam Bailey's odds of having been slashed again by Ladbrokes.

The support for Sam is relentless and the bookies have been forced to cut her odds of being crowned this year's X Factor winner even further, making her the clear odds-on 1/4 favourite for glory on Sunday night.

Nicholas is quoted next in the betting with odds of 9/2 or it's a 12/1 shot that outsider Luke claims the title.

It has been no secret that ITV has lost the ratings war this year, and the firm favour Sunday night's final to average 10-12 million (evens), or it's a 3/1 shot that less than 10 million viewers tune in.

And finally, despite not even winning yet, Sam finds herself chalked up as the 4/6 favourite to land this year's Christmas number one single.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: "Sam's popularity has blown the rest of the contestants out of the water. Nicholas and Luke may as well not even bother turning up to Wembley as punters cannot see Sam losing."
