X Factor's Tamera Foster has told how she's found it difficult to read stories about herself in the press.
The teenager admitted she now only sees four of her pals as real friends after other people she knew sold stories about her.
Even her ex-boyfriend went to The Sun after their break up recently, accusing the 16-year-old of chasing money and fame.
"I’m not someone who has loads of friends. It’s hard when people sell stories about you," Tamera admitted. "I now have four girls who I count as my best mates and only their opinions matter.
"They know the real me."
Speaking to the Metro this week, Tamera hit back at the various newspaper claims released over the past two months about her past.
She told the tabloid that she's "not the person these stories paint me out to be."
The singer, who was originally the favourite to win going into the live shows, added: "I’m nice and I deserve to be here.
"And people can be so nasty to me on Twitter. They forget I’m just a 16-year-old child."
The X Factor UK continues this Saturday and Sunday on ITV.
