X Factor's Tamera Foster has been branded a 'diva' by workers on the show.
The 16-year-old has been the focus of countless press reports about her past, which have included claims of bullying and shoplifting.
This week Tamera, who was in the sing-off at the weekend, hit back at the tabloid headlines.
"I don't think I'm any different from any other teenage girl, to be honest," she told Heat magazine yesterday. "Yeah, I have made mistakes in the past, but who hasn't?
"It was a long time ago and I've really moved on from it."
However, staff on the ITV series have apparently claimed that the youngster still has quite an attitude on her.
One supposed X Factor source told Reveal magazine this week: "Tamera is a great singer with good looks, but boy, does she know it.
"She's over the top demanding and causes conflict behind the scenes wherever she goes: With stylists, producers and other contestants."
The insider added to the publication: "I've worked with people like Tamera on the show before, so I know that if she's like this at an early stage then she's going to be a nightmare later on."
But an X Factor insider hit back, telling us today: "This story is totally wide off the mark - Tamera is always friendly and laid back in studio and production staff have even commented how impressed they are with her attitude and behaviour."
Tamera had been the favourite to win the show before the weekend's results, something which she admitted had piled on the pressure for her.
"It makes me feel good [to be the favourite], but it does add a lot of pressure, as well, because people are expecting big things from me. But yeah, it's flattering," she said.
But Tamera wasn't shy about her competitiveness, declaring she hoped to win: "You don't enter a competition if you don't want to win."
The X Factor 2013 continues on ITV this Saturday and Sunday night with Big Band week, featuring performances from Robbie Williams and Celine Dion.
