X Factor 2013 hopeful Abi Alton has received support from Gloria Gaynor.

Abi performed a piano rendition of Gloria's disco classic I Will Survive at the weekend to high praise from the judges.

And the panel weren't the only ones who were impressed, with Gloria tweeting Abi after the performance.

The American singer wrote: “Great job @abialton singing my song I Will Survive on #XFactor! I enjoyed your style!”

Abi was quick to write back, replying: “@gloriagaynor oh my goodness! Thankyou! I’m glad you thought I did it justice 🙂 ”

But while there was good news for Abi, there was bad news for Tamera Foster who was in the bottom two last night.

The pair's mentor Nicole Scherzinger admitted she didn't know what to do about the result, suggesting that she should just send Tamera out in her bikini next week!

The Pussycat Doll singer told Xtra Factor yesterday: “I am just real shocked right now and I don’t know what I have to do.

"Maybe I have to make us all dress up in bikinis and stuff and hold signs saying ‘please make sure to vote this week.’”

But whatever Nicole decides to do with her girls next Saturday night, she's sure Tamera will come back fighting.

“She is such a fighter and people don’t realise how hard she works and at 16, how professional she is. I am really proud of her tonight," Nicole added.

The X Factor 2013 continues on ITV next Saturday and Sunday night with Big Band week, featuring performances from Robbie Williams and Celine Dion.
