Shelley Smith has praised mentor Sharon Osbourne for their time together during The X Factor 2013.
Shelley was voted off the show in last night's X Factor 2013 results after Saturday's Love and Heartbreak themed performances.
Shelley was in the bottom two with Kingsland Road, with the judges sending her home over the boyband by three votes to one.
Speaking on Daybreak this morning, Shelley admitted she had prepared herself to leave and was ready to go.
It was her second week in the bottom two, having been saved by the judges ahead of fellow Overs category singer Lorna Simpson last Sunday.
"I think I was ready for it, I thought it was going to happen. It wasn’t a massive shock," Shelley confessed.
She added: "Because I was the bottom of the vote first week I kind of expected it. I was hoping not to be, but it doesn’t matter, I’m fine."
And Shelley was full of nothing but praise for mentor Sharon, gushing: "She is the best, honestly she is the best.
"She has been absolutely brilliant to work with. She is so funny, she is really feisty. She’s been a real help to me. She’s given me loads of advice and she’s great to be around."
The X Factor 2013 continues next Saturday night at 8PM on ITV.
