The final six groups of The X Factor 2013 have been chosen in a tense bootcamp twist.
Tonight saw Gary Barlow take charge of the category, starting off by creating a new girl group.
As they rehearsed backstage, the first performances began with six free spots with Gary at his judges' houses in New York.
And Brick City were the first to grab a spot after singing Like a Prayer by Madonna.
Rough Copy - Sterling 28, Kaz 24 and Joe 26 - were next up, but unfortunately there were visa issues with Kaz meaning if they made it through to Judges Houses he wouldn’t be able to go. Therefore they auditioned as a duo with Kaz watching in the wings. Even a member down, the pair impressed Gary enough to make the cut and get the second seat
Kingsland - Josh, Matt, Connor, Thompson and Jay [19-24] - didn't wow Gary as much as he would've liked, but they still earned a spot at judges' houses... for the time being.
The only remaining girl group of the competition Xyra - Laura, Amy, Nadina, Beth and Sasha - performed Billie Jean by Michael Jackson to get the fourth seat, while Tenors of Rock picked up a fifth seat.
Code 4 completed the six spots with their cover of Wake Me Up, before the newly formed girl group took to the stage.
Still without a name, the trio originally auditioned separately, SeSe as part of the band Dynamix, and Jeanette and Rielle in the girls’ category. The judges saw something in each of them and thought that they were too talented to let go from the competition so put them together at the end of Bootcamp.
Their performance of Diamonds resulted in Gary wanting to take them through, choosing to ditch Tenors of Rock in favour of the girls.
Last to perform were Next Of Kin and took a risk with a Take That track. It was a bed that didn't pay off however, with Gary deciding not to take them through to judges' houses, to the relief of the six groups already there.
At the end of the day, it means the Final 6 Groups are Brick City, Rough Copy, Kingsland, Xyra, New Girl Band and Code 4
