X Factor: Robbie Williams tipped to join panel next year

Robbie Williams is fancied to replace Louis Walsh on the X Factor judging panel next year, according to Ladbrokes.

With Walsh announcing his decision to quit the hot seat after 10 years on the show, attention turns to which celeb could handle the pressure and it's Robbie Williams who leads the betting as the 6/1 favourite.

Having made appearances as guest judges in the past, Rita Ora and Mel B are given odds of 7/1, or it's an 8/1 shot that Simon Cowell or Cheryl Cole rejoin the panel.

However, with rumours circulating that Gary and Sharon are also likely absentees from 2014, the good news for X Factor fans is that the show is quoted at long odds-on (1/16) to go ahead next year, despite worries over the judges.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: "The X Factor judging panel is in disarray. If we thought it was hard enough to get four judges together for this year's series, 2014 is looking like a whole different ball game."

She added: "The early money suggests punters would love to see Robbie or Mel B spice up X Factor next year."
