X Factor 2013: Sharon Osbourne confirms she'll quit at the end of the series

Sharon Osbourne has confirmed she has no plans to stay on The X Factor UK beyond this year.

Sharon made a rather understated return to the series earlier this month as the auditions kicked off, but it's very much a one-year thing.

Speaking to The Daily Beast, Sharon admitted she was only going to be back for the one series.

And she took the chance to take a dig at former judge Dannii Minogue, who Sharon has always blamed for forcing her to quit the series back in 2007.

"I chose to leave because I was uncomfortable there at that time with a woman that was on the panel," she said. "She's [Dannii] insignificant, but at that time, I let her get under my skin and I should have been the bigger person.

"But hey, I chose to leave. That's all in the past. I wanted to end it on the right note. I'm only doing it this one season. It's been ten years, and I want to end it on the right way."

A source previously claimed that Sharon is hoping to stir things up on the show before getting out.

"She wants to go in this year, stir things up, cause a lot of trouble and swan off in a blaze of glory," the insider claimed.

The X Factor 2013 auditions will start next month on ITV.
