Simon Cowell is reportedly set to make a lavish comeback to The X Factor this year - hosting a judges' meeting on his luxury yacht after the boot camp stage.
According to The Sun, the media mogul - who quit the panel of the UK version in 2011 to take the show to the United States - has reportedly 'agreed' to appear on screen more this year as bosses seek to reverse the ratings decline.
One of these appearances will apparently see Gary Barlow, Nicole Scherzinger, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne fly to the Mediterranean to meet the 53-year-old on his private boat.
There they'll discuss the acts who made it through boot camp - before Simon reveals which categories each judge will be mentoring in person.
A source told the newspaper: "Simon wanted to be involved on screen this year. We originally intended to do the Boot Camp stage in Miami and he would likely have had a much bigger role.
"But that plan didn’t work out so it will again take place at Wembley Arena next month. We decided it would add extra glamour — and not interrupt Simon’s holiday too much — if we took the mountain to Mohammed.
"The judges will get on a plane to his yacht wherever it is in the Med. He’ll chat through the acts and then dish out the categories."
Simon - who retained an executive producer role following his departure - is also said to be looking at ways he can appear on the live shows via a satellite link-up.
This week ITV unveiled the advertising campaign for the new series - expected to start next month - which features an 'ultimate mash-up' of tracks from several former contestants.
