X Factor 2013: Police warn Sharon Osbourne over 'assault'

Sharon Osbourne (The X Factor 2013)

X Factor 2013 judge Sharon Osbourne has reportedly been warned by police after clashing with a contestant.

Sharon lost her temper with Jonnie Rocco during this year's auditions, throwing a pen at the 73-year-old.

It was Jonnie's second time auditioning for the show, having waited until Sharon's return to the panel for another shot.

But after being slated the judges, including Sharon, Jonnie quipped: “You think Ozzy can sing?”

But an angry Sharon threw her pen at him and stormed: “Get him out of my f***ing room.”

She added: "Don’t you talk about my f***ing husband."

“Jonnie hit a really raw nerve and Sharon was furious," an insider said at the time. “Normally she takes criticism from contestants on the chin.

“But she and Ozzy have obviously been through a tough time this year and any negative remarks about him are like a red rag to a bull as far as she’s concerned.”

But Jonnie - real name John Johnson - reported Sharon to the police for assault.

Greater Manchester Police said they would not be taking any further action on the complaint, but did reveal they had written to the show “remind them of the need to conduct themselves in a professional manner”.

The show will return to our screens on ITV in August.
