Joseph Whelan has returned to The X Factor UK this year following his controversial exit last series.
Joseph was booted out of the show at the bootcamp stages, a decision which angered many viewers.
The performer had told the judges before his performance last year: "Watching the show through the years, everyone’s been crying out for a good rock singer not just a middle of the road one and I really think I’m the man for that."
More than 200,000 fans ended up signing a Facebook campaign to get the 26-year-old back on the ITV1 singing competition.
Back for a second attempt this summer, Joseph went before the new look panel in London this week.
But unfortunately for him, it was axed judge Tulisa who had been backing him last year while Nicole wasn't too keen.
Nicole said: “He looks like he would be a friend of mine and we’d all be hanging around the camp fire and passing around the guitar and singing. Is he a star?”
Will Joseph be able to change Nicole's opinion?
Also returning again at this week's second round of auditions in the capital was Jade Richards, who was also previously controversially axed from the competition in 2011.
Meanwhile, some of the other wannabes to go before the judges at Wembley arena included a former prisoner and a boy group made up of three openly gay guys, which makes a change.
The X Factor 2013 airs next month on ITV.
