X Factor 2013 judge Gary Barlow ended up trying to smash the new set up at auditions this week.
The Take That star was trying to motivate one lacklustre auditionee, who wanted to be a rocker.
None of the judges - Gary, Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger - were too impressed with his cover of Robbie Williams track Let Me Entertain You.
So instead, Gary decided to give him some tips on how to act.
"The judges didn’t like him at first because he claimed to be a rocker but just didn’t have anything wild about him," a source claimed.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, they explained: “He came on, strummed his guitar and sang along and then just faded out. They asked him back in and Gary told him he had to be more of a rocker if he wanted to get anywhere on the show. He then stood up and tried to tip the desk over shouting ‘like this’, but it was screwed to the ground.
“So he picked up a mug and smashed it then grabbed his seat and sent it flying.
“He turned to this poor wannabe and said, ‘I want to see some passion. Rock music is about passion and you aren’t giving us any’."
The source added: “Everyone just looked at him with open jaws, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.”
Let's hope Gary will pay for that!
After London, the judges will go on to hold the last audition stop this year in Cardiff. This will be followed by the second stage of judges’ arena auditions in July.
The show will return to our screens on ITV in August.
