Jessie J has claimed that X Factor boss Simon Cowell tried to hire her for this year's series.
Speaking to the Daily Star Sunday today, The Voice UK coach said she had "been there" when asked about turning down a role on the ITV series.
It was claimed last year that Simon wanted Jessie for The X Factor after being impressed by her on the first series of The Voice.
"She would be perfect for the X Factor. Simon could double her salary but he knows she isn’t only motivated by money. He can also give her the best possible platform to take her career to the next level," an insider said at the time.
But Jessie insisted: “I would never go on X Factor. I’m not focused on anything to do with it.”
She added: “I just want to relate myself to things that are positive. All four of the coaches on The Voice are like that.
“We want to see the good in people while we’re on this show.”
And while The Voice UK has its fair share of arguments and rows between the coaches, Jessie insisted: “It keeps it interesting when there are heated discussions. It would be boring if we all said ‘great choice, well done’.”
The Voice UK final airs next Saturday night on BBC One.
