Tulisa Contostavlos couldn't wait to leave the 'craziness' of The X Factor behind, it's been claimed.
N-Dubz star Tulisa joined the show in the eighth series back in 2011, and went on to secure victory with Little Mix having mentored the groups category.
However yesterday she confirmed she wouldn't be back on the show for a third series this summer, to the surprise of no one.
Tulisa 'took to Twitter' to tell her fans: "Just wanted to let you all know that I won't be part of the X Factor panel this year.
"I've had a great time on the show, but this year it's time to do something different. I'd like to thank everyone on The X Factor for two amazing years.
"Stay tuned as I have a very exciting announcement soon!"
According to Metro, the 'Young' hitmaker couldn't wait to get away from the ITV series.
"She had the worst year of her life last year and wants to get the focus back on work this year and not the craziness that goes around The X Factor," an insider told the newspaper.
Now Tulisa is keen to work on her career away from the telly, focusing 'on acting and music this year'.
A supposed pal of the singer's continued: “Tulisa loved The X Factor and is very grateful to the show. She’s become one of the most famous women in the country.
“Cheryl and Dannii have gone on to be very successful outside The X Factor. The show has now given Tulisa an amazing platform to continue her career doing other things.”
Tulisa is expected to be replaced by Sharon Osbourne, with official news expected in the coming weeks.
