Louis Walsh has claimed that The X Factor 2013 will be a 'different show' when it returns later in the summer.
We already know that there will be a new judging panel, and the first try outs will be sporting a new 'double audition' format, going back to the more intimate judges' rooms we saw in the earlier series.
But Louis has promised more, saying this week: "There will definitely be a few format changes.”
In an interview with Ireland's TV Now magazine, Louis teased: “I’m not going to tell you because I can’t tell anybody yet.
"I think it’s going to be a different show. It’s going to be fresher. We’re all going to work much harder.”
He added: “The X Factor will be as good as the people on it. It comes down to the talent that walks through the door. If we reinvent, we can make a whole new show.”
X Factor boss Simon Cowell previously said that "every aspect" of the format would see some changes.
"The format is ten years old and any format that has lasted that long, you have to change the format because the inevitable result is if you don’t [the ratings] will go down," he explained. “Every aspect of the show [will be changed] in some particular way. It will look like a slightly different show to one you have seen before.
“My job is to try and make the show better than it was two or three years ago.”
Meanwhile, Louis confirmed this week that he and Gary Barlow would definitely be back on the panel, alongside Sharon Osbourne and "probably" Nicole Scherziner.
“I’m back, I am definitely back. Me and Gary, we’re the bookends and I’m sure Sharon Osbourne’s back and I helped to get her back, because she’s great fun," Louis told RTE, adding: "I think [the fourth judge] probably will be Nicole.”
