Louis Walsh has agreed to a new deal to join The X Factor 2013, but it'll mean a pay cut.
The Irish music mogul will return for the tenth series this summer, but has seen his fee cut, although he'll still be scooping £1 million.
It follows reports that producers were struggling to afford the huge fees demanded by both Nicole Scherzinger and Sharon Osbourne.
A source told The Sun newspaper today: "Louis is mindful of economic troubles, particularly in his native Ireland where the property market has crashed, so he didn’t think it was right to ask for a pay rise.”
“A £1million deal is plenty for anyone and he’s just happy to have his place back on the panel.”
Sharon is set to agree a deal worth between £1.8 and £2 million, while Nicole has apparently now signed up for £1.5 million, double her £750,000 fee from last year.
"Simon knows how brilliant Nicole was last year and has to pay what she and her team feel she’s worth," an insider told the Daily Mirror today.
The Pussycat Doll is said to be "95%" certain to be signing a contract this week.
And finally, Gary Barlow is also ready to agree a new to return for a third year as the 'head judge'.
Official news of the judging line up is expected to be announced in the next few weeks, with auditions starting next month.
