Sharon Osborne has apparently yet to sign a deal for the X factor 2013.

X Factor boss Simon Cowell is said to be keen to make sure the former judge will be back on the panel for this year's tenth series.

A supposed insider said: “Simon is adamant Sharon will be back and they have been in serious talks for a while.

“She was a brilliant charge on the show from 2004 until 2007, and Simon knows the public love her no nonsense attitude, which is what the show that last year. He wants another battery on the panel for controversy.”

It's been reported this week however that Sharon is still negotiating over pay, which is rumoured to be around £2 million.

According to the Daily Mail, Nicole is also holding out for more money, recently saying that she may quit to focus on her music.

However, ITV are refusing to boost the budget for that panel, meaning that is to Tulisa could make a surprise come back.

A source claimed: "We’re unsure if this is a ploy for Nicole to also get a pay increase."

"Sharon wants a lot of money either to commmute from Los Angeles to London every week or take a leave of absence from [US TV show] The Talk."

They added: "We’re unsure if this is a ploy for Nicole to also get a pay increase."

It has left Tulisa as a "backup" judge if either Nicole or Sharon are unable to agree a deal with producers.
