Cheryl Cole has reportedly turned down an offer to join the X factor again, either in the UK or US.
X factor boss Simon Cowell apparently wanted Cheryl back on the X factor in America for its third season later this year.
A source said this month: "This is a massive move from Simon. He’s going right out there and saying that he made a mistake in sacking her.
“After she was shunted off the show, TV critics in the US said in reviews that she was the best thing about the programme – and it seems for once that Simon was wrong."
But following Girls Aloud's split (sob), Cheryl is hoping to take a break from the limelight.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror at the weekend, an insider claimed: "Cheryl’s a trouper when it comes to her work commitments and loves nothing more than making music and getting up on stage, but she feels now that she needs a break and an opportunity to recharge her batteries as she’s barely had any time off."
They added: “Now the tour has finished Cheryl’s planning to take time out and disappear from the limelight.”
It's also being reported that the Girls Aloud beauty is looking to start a family with backing dancer boyfriend Tre.
The supposed source told the newspaper: “She’s in no rush to record a new album and has ruled out rejoining The X Factor panel. Instead she’s going to go to America and spend time in LA with boyfriend Tre Holloway.
“She may even plan to do some travelling with him and spend time seeing the world. She’s turning 30 in June and is becoming a woman. She wants to decide what path she wants to take in life.”
