Nicole Scherzinger is reportedly demanding double her fee to return to The X Factor judging panel this year.
It's almost Spring which means that X Factor bosses will soon be dishing out the contracts for this year's show, and there's plenty of speculation over who will (and who won't) be back.
Former Pussycat Doll Nicole proved a hit on last year's show, so it seems unsurprising to hear she's set to be back again
But the Daily Mirror report that Nicole is playing hard to get in negotiations, demanding a payrise amounting to double her current £750,000 fee.
“Cowell has made Nicole an offer but she knows the money she wants and it’s double what she got last year," a supposed source told the tabloid this morning.
Painting a rather arrogant picture of Nicole we have to say, the insider went on: “She knows that she was the star of the show last year and therefore thinks she should be paid appropriately.
“Last year it was all so rushed, she was a last minute replacement for Kelly Rowland, so she couldn’t negotiate properly.
“This time around, she is understandably playing hardball. She knows that she is the judge that people are still talking about."
The source added to the newspaper: “Nicole sees the role as a job, not just a chance to be on TV. She hopes for an agreement but she won’t go back unless terms are right.”
Unfortunately a spokesperson for The X Factor ruined all the speculation, stating: "No formal decisions have been made about the panel for this year or any contracts.”
