Nicole Scherzinger has admitted she doesn't know if she'll be back on the X Factor this year.
Despite proving a hit as a new judge on last year's panel, bosses have yet to offer Nicole a spot on the show this year.
But the former Pussycat Doll singer said she wants to return in the summer.
"There's no official word - everything's up in the air," she said this week. "I had the most shamaze time last year and me and the UK rocked it together.
"You Brits have always been good to me. When I did my first guest judging on the show, you were shamazing to me."
Asked if she wanted to come back to the British show for a second series, Nicole told Star magazine: "If the official talks are right. The UK is my home. You get my music first. I am American, but I'm British at heart."
She added: "I'm still in touch with all my boys. I'm always here for them if they need [me], if they've got questions about music and life, and everything they're going through."
Speaking to Daybreak last week, Nicole confessed she didn’t get the best of receptions when she started on the series last summer.
She told the programme: “I’m not going to lie, I felt like coming to town and joining the show – I didn’t get the warmest reception.
“So now to be embraced and to know that people get my sense of humour and get my quirkiness and see the passion that I put into the show, it feels really good and it does feel like I’ve bounced back like a boomerang.”
