Cheryl Cole is set to rejoin The X Factor UK after reportedly making up with Simon Cowell.
It was claimed yesterday that Cheryl was on Simon's wish list of stars for this year's panel, along with Rita Ora and Sharon Osbourne.
Only Nicole Scherzinger from last year's line up is said to be safe, with even long time judge Louis Walsh facing the chop.
Simon and ITV meanwhile are once again battling over Gary Barlow, with Simon wanting the Take That star gone.
But while Simon's may not get his way with Gary, he could get Cheryl back on the panel.
“It’s no secret that the whole American experience left her very hurt and angry but life’s too short," an insider told the Daily Record at the weekend. “If the deal’s right and it looks as if she would enjoy the people she would be working with, Cheryl will go back."
The source explained: “X Factor really helped Cheryl focus when she was going through a tough time in her life and she has a soft spot for it.
“She’s in a good position. Both she and Cowell are aware of how much her return could help to improve ratings.”
It was reported last week that Tulisa had already been ditched from the panel after her flop solo album.
An insider claimed: “Quite apart from her performance on last year’s show, you can’t have a singer whose album only reached No35 in the charts sitting in judgment on other singers.
“Tulisa has been on the panel for two years. She had a good run, but all good things come to an end.”
But despite all the rumours and reports, Cheryl has always insisted she definitely wouldn't be back.
