X Factor 2013 boss Simon Cowell wants David Bowie on the judging panel.
The music mogul revealed yesterday that he's been after the singer for years, but has yet to have a response from the Space Oddity performer.
With the X Factor 2013 judges still up in the air, it's another name to add to the seemingly endless list of rumours.
Simon said: “I think if I could have anyone on The X Factor it would be David Bowie.
"It’s no secret I’ve asked him, and he hasn’t said yes yet, but I’ll keep extending the invitation. Why Bowie? He’s a legend."
He explained: “He’s a great songwriter, he has massive influence on music today and he’s 100 per cent credible. I’m a fan. Not just of his music but of him, the man. He’s cool. Most of us aren’t. Bowie is.”
Simon's already confirmed he won't be back while reports yesterday suggested Tulisa had been axed, leaving at least one free spot on the panel.
The bookies favouirte is Robbie Williams, with Paddy Power making the Take That star 3/2 to be on the show this year, while former X Factor judge Sharon Osborne is 7/2 to return.
Rihanna, Adele and former X Factor champ Leona Lewis are all contenders, albeit at much longer odds of 20/1.
However a spokesperson for Paddy Power said: “Tulisa sent packing? I wouldn’t bet on it.
"Paddy Power makes it 6/5 that she’ll be back for good. Robbie for the ratings, Cowell for character assignations who knows what’s ahead…”
