Cheryl Cole is apparently in talks to return to The X Factor this year, over in the USA.
According to the New York Post, Cheryl is in negotiations with producers to make a shock return to the series to help its less than impressive ratings.
Simon Cowell had wanted 20 million viewers for the American series when it kicked off back in 2011, but has had less than half that.
Cheryl was sacked from the panel after only two audition shows in 2011, replaced by Nicole Scherzinger who was also later given the axe before joining the UK show.
Now Cheryl is set to go back to the show after Britney Spears and LA Reid both quit, although it could be a bit awkward after she sued the producers for some £1.4 million last year.
It'll the third line up in as many seasons for the US show, with only Simon Cowell having remained on the panel.
Original host Steve Jones was ditched along with Nicole in the first year, and his replacements - Mario Lopez and Khloe Kardashian - could also be cut.
"They are asking Mario to come back, but not Khloe," a source told the newspaper.
All in all it sounds rather messy to us right now, and with the UK version also in a bit of a state it's going to be interesting to see who eventually does end up judging both shows.
