Olly Murs doesn't want Rylan Clark taking over for him on the Xtra Factor!
Former X Factor star Olly has hosted the ITV2 spin off show for the past two years alongside Caroline Flack but it set to bail out this series.
He said previously: “I’ve had two great years on it. To be honest, the way my career is going in terms of music and internationally it looks unlikely that I’ll be able to do it. It’s an amazing part of my career and working with Caroline has been great.”
Rylan Clark has already been tipped to replace Olly after his successful stint on Celebrity Big Brother, but Olly's not sure it's a great idea.
He told MTV: "I think Rylan’s great but to be honest, I’m not sure it’s right for him to do The Xtra Factor this year. I think he’d be brilliant at it, but I think if he does get offered the job, it would be great for him to kind of come away from The X Factor for a year.”
Olly went on: “He’s got such a great personality to do something really incredible, of course, he’s already won Celebrity Big Brother but I think he’s such an amazing guy and we got on so well on the show and I think The Xtra Factor would be a massive jump for him in terms of his career right now.”
And Olly - who will be in the US soon trying to follow in One Direction's footsteps and crack the Stateside charts - reckons Caroline can go at it on her own.
He added: “It’s also up to Caroline of course, if she wants to do a duo thing again or wants to go it solo or whether she wants to do it again, you never know! There could be someone else who wants to jump in and do it.”
