Simon Cowell has given the go-ahead to Harry Hill's X Factor musical after attending a workshop earlier today.
Earlier this week The Sun reported that the media mogul had yet to stamp his seal of approval on the project, which former TV Burp presenter Hill has been working on for a number of months.
But it now appears the show will head in to production imminently after the 52-year-old took to Twitter to announce his backing.
Simon said this afternoon: "Am on my way to see the workshop of X factor the musical."
A few hours later on his way out, he tweeted: "The X factor musical is sensational! It's a yes from me."
Hill recently revealed on This Morning that he's hoping the extravaganza will be on stage by April 2014. he said: "It's all about getting in a theatre and getting the whole show in shape.
"But we've been doing a lot of work on it - we've got a script and we did some workshops just last week funnily enough with all these great, really funny songs."
