Simon Cowell has revealed that he may launch a new talent show to find someone to play HIMSELF in Harry Hill's new The X Factor Musical!
According to The Sun, the 52-year-old media mogul will decide whether or not to officially give his backing to the project at a workshop in a few weeks' time.
But despite this, he is already conjuring up ideas on how to cast the lead role!
Simon commented: "We have to wait and see whether it’s going to work, but the buzz from the people who know about these things is that it’s very good.
"Musicals are not my business but I’m going to approach it like I would a TV show. The team have spent a long time working on this and from the very first time I met Harry Hill he was absolutely besotted with the idea, so we’ll see.
"Who would play me? We may have to do an audition show. That would be a good idea."
His last attempt at a musical show, Grease Is The Word, famously bombed in the ratings - as did last year's Jesus Christ Superstar talent search Superstar, Andrew Lloyd Webber's first series to air on ITV.
Simon is currently in the UK to judge the auditions for Britain's Got Talent, which returns to our screens in the spring.
