X Factor: Gary Barlow's record label goes bust after signing 'flops'

There's bad news for X Factor's Gary Barlow this new year, after his personal record label went bust.

The Take That star's Future Records has failed to turn a profit since it opened in 2009, signing a string of 'flop' artists.

No wonder Gary's yet to win the X Factor with one of his acts then...

Amongst the 'stars' that Gary signed were rapper and I'm A Celebrity star Aggro Santos and winner of Sky1 music show Must Be The Music, Emma's Imagination.

He may have been better off signing Christopher Maloney.

The company made a loss of more than £4 million in 2011, a figure expected to only get worse when this year's final accounts close.

A 'source' told the Daily Mirror today: “Gary was naturally upset. He’d signed a few great bands who are destined for success but the problem was he also had a few turkeys.”

Meanwhile, Gary Barlow confirmed the closure but blamed it on a lack of time in his schedule.

He said: “It’s been a very difficult decision but it came down to time.

“I’ve had a lot going on recently and I want to spend more time with my family.”
