The singer shouldn't be too upset however, having signed a record deal with Sony Music along with Union J, Ella Henderson and James Arthur.
But Jahmene has already been recording some songs, although it's for his former employer Asda rather than for his debut album.
The 21-year-old feature on the shop's new Christmas advert, singing Silent Night.
James said: "I feel so blessed by the whole X Factor experience and it so exciting that I am recording for Asda.
"Over the last two weeks I have been sleeping and grieving the loss of my X Factor family."
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Jahmene continued: "I love my X Factor family. Union J and James Arthurs are like my brothers and I love Jade Ellis too."
Looking back on his experience, he revealed: "In May I was working out how to make my way up the ladder in Asda but I took a risk and it paid off and I am just taking it all step by step."
Fortunately it won't be long before Jahmene is back with the other finalists, as the group will be kicking off their live concert tour in the new year.
Union J's Jaymi said: “We’re going to be spending like six weeks together so we’re looking forward to the reunion.”
