Jahmene Douglas has become the latest X Factor 2012 contestant to get a record deal.
Runner up Jahmene follows winner James Arthur, Union J and Ella Henderson in being signed to Sony Music.
The official Twitter account revealed this morning: "@JahmeneDouglas and @Ella__Henderson have both signed for Sony. Congratulations!! #xfactor."
Jahmene later confirmed the news, tweeting himself: "Just announced on @reallorraine that I'm now signed to SONY. God is good 🙂 thank you all for getting me to where I am ! #muchlove ! xx"
He added: "Eeek .. My excitement always takes time to kick in :-p but I think it's slowly slipping in just what's in store for me 🙂 woooo xx."
Union J previously revealed they would be signing a deal this week before Christmas.
The group's lead singer Jaymi said: "It’s been a crazy week, the dream was to get a record deal and now we’ve got a deal.”
Meanwhile, speaking about her planned debut album at the weekend, Ella said: “Hopefully this time next year I’ll show people why I’m here.”
She continued: “I’m so excited to go into the studio and do what I’ve always wanted to do.
“I’ve written stuff already but I can’t wait to write new stuff. I’ve not written all the way through the period I was on The X Factor and it unlocked so many emotions I’ve never experienced before, it’s going to be very exciting.”
