XFactor's Ella Henderson plans to make 2013 the "year of Ella"!
It was revealed at the weekend that the teenager had been signed by Sony Music, after finishing sixth in the show.
The 16-year-old, along with winner James Arthur and Union J, will all release albums in the new year.
Ella has already been working on her record, and teased it would have a "raw sound".
The singer however admitted she wasn't worried about chart success.
She told The Journal: "I just can't wait to begin experimenting in the new year, because it's my job to come up with the ideas and get them down
"This time next year I'd love to have an album out and for everyone to know my songs.
"But whether it made it big in the charts or not, as long as it put a smile on people's faces, that's all I care about."
Ella explained: "My album would definitely have a raw sound, though.
"I want it to sound real and there'll be some really emotive songs on there, because they're the kind of songs I write best.
"I want to make a record that's going to really hit people. Something that takes you through a story or a journey, with ups and downs on it."
Speaking previously about being signed, Ella said: "I'm so excited to go into the studio and do what I've always wanted to do.
"I've written stuff already but I can't wait to write new stuff. I've not written all the way through the period I was on The X Factor and it unlocked so many emotions I've never experienced before, it's going to be very exciting."
