With a ruoured £250k Celebrity Big Brother 2013 deal, there's little denying that the X Factor has certainly changed Rylan's life for the better.
Speaking after the final at the weekend about his experience on the series, Rylan said: "‘I think I started the show as one of the most hated people in the country.
"Now I think I’ll be remembered for being myself and being true to myself. I’m the same person that started the show – that’s what I wanted and it’s what I’ve got, so I’m over the Moon."
Talking to the Metro newspaper, Rylan added: "It’s changed my life. Hopefully, it will open doors for me. This is the start of the rest of my life, I hope. I’m so grateful.
"I’ve always wanted something like this but wanting it and actually having it happen are two different things."
For the time being, Rylan just wants to get back to normal for a bit!
He said: "I plan to spend Christmas with my family, a normal Christmas where I’m enjoying myself. I want to make sure I can treat all the people that I want to treat."
And on mentor Nicole Scherzinger , Rylan added: "‘Me and Nicole are going to be friends for a very, very long time, I’m absolutely certain."
