James Arthur is fancied to get a number one single next year rather than this year according to Ladbrokes.
The X Factor winner currently finds himself chalked up as the 3/1 second favourite to land this year's Christmas number one, but it's a 2/1 chance he reaches the highly sought after top spot during 2013. But he faces close competition from initial show favourite Ella Henderson at 4/1.
Jahmene Douglas is favoured at 6/1 to have a number one single in the next twelve months, while Christopher Maloney and Rylan Clark can both be backed at 20/1.
The final showdown saw viewing figures hit an all-time low and the firm now make it odds-on at 1/2 that next year's final drops below 9.5m viewers, or it's a 6/4 chance the show comes back better and stronger by attracting more than 9.5m on the night.
And although there's rumours swirling around in regards to the judging line-up the firm make all four judges odds-on to come back for another series, however if any of them are to be replaced it's Simon Cowell who's favoured to return to the hot seat at 6/4.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: "It will be a big upset if James manages to take the Christmas number one but we're confident he'll get there in the next 12 months."
She added: "It's no secret that this year's X Factor has fallen flat with the public and we're not sure if next year is going to be any better."
