XFactor 2012: Ella Henderson says show left her "absolutely exhausted" and "low"

Ella Henderson (X Factor 2012)

X Factor 2012 star Ella Henderson has admitted that the show left her completely exhausted.

Speaking about her experience on the series, Ella confessed that she found it tough to be followed around 24/7 for the show.

The 16-year-old was one of the favourites to win, but lost out in a surprise bottom two against eventual winner James Arthur.

Recalling her time on The X Factor, Ella said: "Constantly being surrounded by cameras was tough seven days a week.

"There were some points where I just wanted to get into my pyjamas, sleep, have a movie day and cut off from it all - have a bit of normality. I did have moments where I was absolutely exhausted and that time of the month where you just hit that low point."

The teenager was mentored by Tulisa on the show, and reveals that the N-Dubz star is still in contact and giving her support.

Ella explained: "We're still in contact now and I'll be seeing her in the near future.

"I never wanted any other mentor than Tulisa - since my live audition there was an immediate connection between us. We formed such a close bond and it was horrible to lose one another. She was really shocked the night I left, but she said: 'Don't worry, this is just the beginning for you. You just wait Mrs."
