The Voice UK coach reportedly revealed Cheryl will be returning to the panel for next year's tenth series, following talks with Simon Cowell earlier this month.
The Daily Mirror quotes Will as saying: “It’s going to be dope.”
The US star made the comments after singing with Cheryl at a gig for Capital FM at the weekend.
A source told the newspaper that Cheryl and Simon have so far only “verbally agreed” to work together next year.
The source revealed: “Cheryl is coming back on TV in 2013 and will be working with Simon. People love to watch her. She was with X Factor at its peak.
Meanwhile next year's tenth series is set to see a host of changes as producers battle to win back viewers.
Saturday night's show was the least watched final since 2005, so it won't only be the X Factor judges who change next year.
A show source told the newspaper: “There are going to be the biggest changes ever on the show. We have to respond to the drop in ratings and level of interest."
It was previously reported that Simon had told Cheryl to 'name her price' when it came to getting her back on the panel.
“He knows what a draw Cheryl is to viewers- he thinks they would be back in their droves – so he is lining up an audacious offer. He’s basically said: ‘name your price’,” a source claimed last week.
Cheryl quit the series back in 2011 to judge on the first season of the US show, but was axed by American bosses after filming just four auditions.
The Girls Aloud star has since been very vocal about her “frenemies” relationship with Simon, but has never completely ruled out a return.
The source added: “He knows Cheryl won’t be cheap but more importantly he needs to offer her the right role – she has resisted going back before.
“He doesn’t expect it to be easy, but Simon likes a challenge.”
