XFactor 2012 final: Jahmene Douglas will give winnings to charity

Jahmene Douglas (X Factor 2012)

Jahmene Douglas has said he'll give any money he makes from winning the X Factor 2012 final tonight to charity.

With Christopher Maloney finishing in third place on last night's X Factor 2012 results, it's left James Arthur and Jahmene to go head to head on tonight's final.

Speaking to the Daily Star Sunday ahead of tonight's final live results show, Jahmene revealed he plans to donate any money he makes from a debut album to charity.

“All I need is a nice little house and the rest will go to charity," he told the newspaper. “I don’t need millions of pounds, I don’t think anyone does. It just ruins your life.

“I’d like to set up my own charity and sing. That is what is most important to me.”

Jahmene's mentor Nicole Scherzinger is happy that it'll be one of her boys who'll be walking away with a record contract this weekend rather than Chris.

She said: “I think it will bring a lot of credibility and authenticity and integrity if either James or Jahmene win the show.

“I am completely in awe of both of them.

“They are incredibly gifted and talented.”
