X Factor judge Gary Barlow has revealed he hasn't spoken to Simon Cowell since February.
While other judges Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger have been getting regular feedback from the X Factor boss, Gary has avoided contact with Simon.
“I don’t talk to Simon, I talk to ITV," he said. “I don’t hear from Simon. I met him in February to talk about the next series, but that’s it.
"It was the same as last year – once we go on telly I don’t hear anything. I don’t need to speak to anyone during the series. I know what my job is, and what I need to do.
“Last year it was ITV who called me saying they’d like to talk to me about the next series.”
It follows claims that Simon wanted Gary to be axed from the panel this year, being over ruled by ITV bosses who wanted to keep him on the show.
“Cowell doesn’t think that he knows enough about who to choose from the auditions. The one thing he did after the 2010 show was to create One Direction, who are now the biggest pop group in the world,” an insider told The Times newspaper this weekend.
The X Factor 2012 continues tonight with the live final results in Manchester from 7:40PM on ITV1.
Jahmene Douglas and James Arthur will be battling it out to be crowned winner, while there will be performances from One Direction, Rhianna and Emeli Sande.
