Christopher Maloney has finished The X Factor 2012 in third place on tonight's final results.
This evening saw Chris, James Arthur and Jahmene Douglas compete in the first half of this weekend's ultimate live show.
The trio first performed a new song before singing a duet with their mentors in a bid to get votes.
After a night of voting, the lines were frozen and host Dermot O'Leary revealed that Chris had received the fewest votes to win the show.
He said: "I feel like I've already won, I'm the third finalist, it's been fantastic and thanks to everyone who's been supportive."
Mentor Gary Barlow added: "Congratulations, well done, he's done fantastic."
It leaves James and Jahmene to fight it out in tomorrow's last show of the series, with the duo reprising their favourite performances and singing their potential winner's song.
Jahmene Douglas' single will be Let it Be by the Beatles.
James Arthur's single will be Impossible by Shontelle.
The X Factor 2012 continues tomorrow night with the live final results in Manchester from 7:40PM on ITV1.
Jahmene Douglas and James Arthur will be battling it out to be crowned winner, while there will be performances from One Direction, Rhianna and Emeli Sande.
