Christopher Maloney was left upset on The X Factor 2012 final tonight as he was booed by a crowd of over 10,000 fans.
This evening's penultimate live X Factor show saw the trio of finalists performing both a new song and a duet with their mentors to thousands of people at Manchester Central arena.
The show will conclude with one of the three being voted out in third place, leaving the remaining two acts to go on to fight it out head to head tomorrow night.
It's clear who the crowd want out, with many of the audience booing Christopher as he joined fellow finalists James Arthur and Jahmene Douglas on stage.
Admittedly, being in a scouser in an arena full of Mancs isn't the best the place to be.
During the ad breaks bosses tried to keep the crowds at bay, telling them: "No one on this stage deserves to be booed."
It's not the first time Chris has been heckled by the live studio audience, and confessed that hearing the boos is stuff.
“To hear booing is tough,” he told the Daily Star newspaper earlier this week. “And it’s not nice to hear people saying things that are unfounded to try to get me off the show. I haven’t got time to vote for myself.
“Because I’m older than the other acts I feel I’ve got a lot to prove, so the negativity gets me down.
“I’m meant to be living the dream but I’m finding it tough. And doing X Factor should be boosting my confidence but it isn’t.”
The X Factor continues live on ITV1.
